Spectrum FM Mallorca Restaurant Review of Celler can Ripoll, Inca

Located in the heart of Inca’s old town is where you will find the fabulous Celler Can Rippoll Restaurant. This National heritage building was originally a wine celler when it was constructed back in 1768. People would come from miles around to fill their jugs with wine and at sometime in the 1940’s, the celler started to serve food.

Celler Can Rippoll has now been under the steady hand of the Gual family for over 30 years. It really is a charming restaurant full of character. High beamed ceilings, the original wine barrels inside nestled with the tables. However if you keep walking through the the traditional interior, outside you are greeted to a fantastic private terrace. Ambient lighting and lush gardens make you feel you have transported to an oasis. Tables are well spaced and you really do almost feel that this is your private terrace.

I was luckily enough to dine here recently with a friend. The food served is traditional Mallorcan, home made to family recipes that have been with the Gual family for generations. As the choice was so good, my friend and I opted to share dishes together. I really enjoyed the Frito Mallorquin, a dish I had never had before. Informed by the staff that it is a dish that very much changes from family to family, the Gual family had this recipe perfect as far as we were concerned. The other dish we shared, Cuttlefish, again to a traditional recipe, was also very good. With me wanting to stick with traditional Mallorcan food, I went for the Cod Gratin with Alioli. Now this was amazing and really did get my taste buds going. My friend took the Sirloin which was cooked just as requested. Really good home made food is the secret of Celler Can Rippoll but I must point out the service. The service was very good indeed, attentative but not in your way. Infact we were asked if we would like a pause between courses which we did, Frito Mallorquin is so tasty and filling.

I had a great dining experience at Celler Can Rippoll and cannot wait to return once again. If you want traditional food in traditional surroundings, that won’t break the bank prices, you need look no further than Celler Can Rippoll. To reserve your table today call 971 500 024 or email Or visit
